Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Ashutosh on Tuesday, alleged that the Swaraj Samvaad meeting, organised by the party rebel members, has BJP’s involvement.
He said that he had received a text invitation to Swaraj Samvaad, from Ashwani Upadhyay, Delhi BJP leader.
“On Monday, I got a message from Prashant Bhushan, Professor Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha, inviting members to join the Swaraj Samvaad meeting on April 14. But when I read it closely, I found it to be written by Ashwini Upadhyay. I was a little stunned and surprised. If Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav wanted to organise a meeting, why would the message come from BJP?” questioned Ashutosh.
“Ashwini Upadhyay was thrown out of the AAP for indiscipline. Later, he joined BJP and became a spokesperson. So if a BJP spokesperson is sending such an invite, it creates necessary suspicion. Is it a deliberate ploy; is it a conspiracy or is it some trick?” he added.
Following their expulsion from the National Executive on March 28, Prashant Bhushan, Yogendra Yadav, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha have convened a meeting on April 14 to discuss the future course of action, amid speculations that they might float a new political party.
