Former Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta on Tuesday alleged that Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is protecting former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit and her colleagues in corruption cases. Gupta will meet Kejriwal on Wednesday to demand action against Dikshit and retired IAS officer Uday Sahay.
‘Instead of taking action against Sheila Dikshit, Kejriwal is protecting her,’ alleged Gupta. He demanded registration of FIR against Dikshit in a case of misappropriation of funds to the tune of Rs 22.56 crore in which a court has ordered Delhi police to register an FIR. Dikshit has challenged the order in HC. ‘Dikshit was herself accused in the case of corruption and she tried to get stay on the FIR. But now the Kejriwal government is also trying to follow the orders in protecting Sheila Dikshit and Uday Sahay, the co-accused in this case, has also been appointed at a high position in AAP,’ alleged Gupta. The special judge of Anti Corruption Branch Narottam Kaushal had on 31 August, 2013, given orders to file FIR against Sheila Dikshit.
