Police and forest officials on Sunday recovered another carcass of a rhino from near the Kaziranga National Park in Assam. Its horn had already been removed by poachers.
The carcass of the rhino was recovered from Haldibari area under Dolamara forest range. The rhino was killed earlier this month. According to police, the recovery followed the confession of three poachers, arrested on Friday.
‘The poachers confessed that they killed the rhino on 3 Oct and removed the horn,’ a senior police official said, adding that interrogation is on to trace the horn.
