Noida authority and Noida police’s ‘Highway Patrol’ will be implemented on the expressway in the New Year. The Noida authority is all set to deploy a fleet of eight dedicated vehicles and a team of 12 cops along the Noida-Greater Noida expressway from 1 January to ensure the safety of commuters. The authority had been receiving flak for failing in curbing the endless fatal accidents on the 23 km long e-way.
Akhilesh Singh, DCEO, Noida authority said that the step has been taken to curb accidents on the e-way and ensure safety of the commuters.
According to an official in the authority, ‘Four Innovas, two cranes and two ambulances will be exclusively deployed on the expressway. While Innovas will keep a vigil on the high-speed link, cranes will be used to remove the rubble of the damaged cars.’
