In a tragic incident, one person was killed and two others injured after the scaffolding at the mother and child ward in AIIMS hospital collapsed on Wednesday evening. The three fell from a height of about 60 feet.
The incident took place at around 5 pm, when floor construction at the fourth floor was going on. At the time, the three workers were standing on the scaffolding which collapsed and all of them fell on the ground. All were admitted in the hospital where Deevakar (26) was pronounced dead on arrival while Mahesh (24 years) and Sushil (22 years) are undergoing treatment.
A case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Hauz Khas police station.
