An Afghan national has been arrested by police in Pakistan for his alleged involvement in the attack on an air force base last week that left 42 people dead, as authorities said the mastermind of the deadly <g data-gr-id="9">assult</g> was from Afghanistan.
Police raided a house in Pladherai village of Charsadda district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and arrested the man from a rented house, a police official said. “He has been shifted to a secret location for
questioning,” he said.
At least 42 people were killed when heavily armed Taliban terrorists in military uniforms launched a brazen attack on Badaber Air Force base in Peshawar and a mosque inside the compound.
