AAP workers beaten up by unidentified men in W Delhi

A group of unidentified persons thrashed few Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers in west Delhi’s Najafgarh area on Wednesday morning, while they were putting up posters in the area.

The victims include Ashwini Deswal, vice-president of AAP’s rural wing in Najafgarh. According to the police, the victims received minor injuries and were discharged from the hospital after the first aide. A case has been registered at Baba Haridas Nagar police station against unknown persons.

The complainants, in their statement told police while they were putting up posters in the area, three men came on a motor-cycle and thrashed them. The assailants allegedly started beating up them with sticks and also broke the windshield of the car the workers were travelling in.

After the incident, the AAP workers also staged a protest outside Haridas Nagar police station.
