AAP to launch its youth wing on Bhagat Singh’s birth anniversary

Aam Admi Party’s (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday launched the party’s youth wing in Delhi with the objective of further increasing the ‘youthful vigor’. 

It will be known as ‘Aam Aadmi Party Youth Wing’.

‘The formal launch of the AAP’s youth wing will take place on 27 September, the 107th birth anniversary of revolutionary martyr Bhagat Singh. The youth wing has planned programmes across the city to mark the occasion,’ said AAP in a press statement.

In its first preparatory meeting with the party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP youth wing decided to focus on unemployment, women safety and other key issues concerning the students of the country.

‘It will lead movements for empowerment of youth in decision making. It  will also strive to channelise the youth energy towards positive campaigns’, the statement read.

The Delhi unit of AAP Youth Wing will be headed by party MLA from Tilak Nagar Jarnail Singh while Karol Bagh MLA Vishesh Ravi will be its convenor.

The vice-presidents of the youth wing are —Ankush Narang, Bilal Ahmed, Yogesh and Nandan Mishra while Vandana Singh will serve as its secretary for Delhi unit.

The party will also launch a city-wide membership drive to enroll the youth below 35 years of age.
The organisational heads for all 14 districts of Delhi have also been appointed and the work is on to set-up committees in all 273 wards of the city.
