AAP takes a dig at Congress; Ready to field candidate against Gandhi scion
Viswas told Millennium Post, ‘This is a good sign that at least a senior Congress leader has considered AAP leaders as human beings. Earlier Sheila Dikshit and Salman Khurshid labeled AAP leaders as insects. However, after the Delhi elections it seems that Congress leaders have begun to change their perception about us. Now they consider us as ‘jokers’ instead of ‘insects’. This is our transformation from insects to human beings from the Congress point of view’, said Viswas.
‘There is nothing wrong in being a joker. At least a ‘joker’ makes people laugh, but what about their own ‘Shahzada,’ who often visits to the homes of poor people and have their meals. People are not fools. They know that all these acts are tricks to get votes. With such remarks Congress leaders have shown their arrogance and I am not taking his (Beni’s) comments seriously’, he added.
Manish Sisodia on Wednesday expressed his view that if Congress party has a young leader of its own then AAP will also field a young leader against him. He went on to add that AAP tickets are not distributed from 10 Janpath, like the Congress. In this context, Vishwas went onto say, ‘If I have to contest then I will have to apply just like Arvind Kejriwal did. If I am given the ticket then I will contest and will end their dynastic rule,’ said Kumar Vishwas.
On Thursday Congress leader Beni Prasad Verma took a dig at Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas, after reports emanated that he may contest against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Beni Prasad, while reacting to the reports, called Kumar Vishwas a ‘joker’. He said, ‘Rahul Gandhi will be our Prime Ministerial candidate. Many jokers are contesting from Amethi.'
Kejriwal unwell, drops plan to go to Ralegan Siddhi to support Anna
New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal, who was supposed to go to Ralegan Siddhi to support Anna Hazare, has dropped the plan due to his ill health. ‘Kejriwal is suffering from high fever due to which he is unable to go to Ralegan Siddhi to support Hazare, who is on indefinite hunger strike for passage of Jan Lokpal Bill in Parliament,’ AAP spokesperson Manish Sisodia said. Instead of Kejriwal, party leaders Kumar Vishwas, Sanjay Singh and Gopal Rai have left for Ralegan Siddhi, he said. On Wednesday during a public meeting, Kejriwal had announced that he and Kumar Vishwas would go to Ralegan Sidhi to support Hazare’s agitation. Kejriwal addressed the public meeting after the stunning victory in the Delhi Assembly polls despite running high fever, Sisodia said. He was rushed to a doctor as soon as the public meeting ended who asked him to take rest.
