AAP slams Rahul over comments on Shakur Basti incident

Update: 2015-12-15 00:42 GMT
AAP on Monday hit back at Rahul Gandhi’s comments over the slum demolition issue, alleging such actions were also carried out under Congress rule while Arvind Kejriwal called him a “child”. Rahul Gandhi, who took a good 48 hours to react to the issue, on Monday, defended the Modi government and blamed AAP government in Delhi. “Either Rahul Gandhi was trying to mislead the nation to shield the Modi government which runs Railways or he simply did not know that the Railways comes under the Union government under PM Narendra Modi and not under AAP government in Delhi,” said AAP in a statement. Senior AAP leader Ashutosh said that Rahul’s statements reflect the reasons behind Congress’ defeat in Lok Sabha polls, in which it was reduced to 44 seats. “Now I know why Congress is reduced to 44? This is Rahul-used to talk about Kalavati,” AAP leader Ashutosh said on Twitter.
