Delhi environment minister and AAP MLA from Ballimaran Imran Hussain’s brother Furqan Hussain has been allegedly booked under charges of molestation of a woman who tried to seek help from the AAP MLA at his office in Old Delhi. Police have registered a case against the MLA’s brother at the Hauz Qazi police station in Central Delhi.

According to a complaint letter filed by the woman to the SHO of the Hauz Qazi police station, a copy of which is in possession with Millennium Post, the complainant had stated that on December 18, she got a notice from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi about the ongoing construction work at her house in the Ramesh Market area of Hauz Qazi. She then went to seek assistance from the AAP MLA Imran Hussain’s office on January 1 to report against the matter.

However, when she again visited the MLA’s office on January 4, she found Furqan Hussain in the office. He said that he will help her to solve this problem if she gets into a physical relationship with him. She got scared and the MLA’s brother further intimidated her and touched her inappropriately and said that his brother (Imran Hussain) is an MLA and nobody can do anything to him since he is Imran’s brother.

“We have received a complaint from the woman and have booked Furqan Hussain under relevant sections of the law. Probe is on,” said Parmaditya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central).

A case has been registered under Sections 354 ( outraging the modesty of a woman), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC against Furqan Hussain.
