Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) leaders Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh met the Election Commission on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum demanding effective steps to ensure free and fair by-elections in the 2 assembly segments of Punjab. The chief election commissioner VS Sampath along with his colleagues and the EC officials responsible for Punjab, assured the AAP delegation that adequate steps are being taken to address all concerns. The CEC informed the AAP leaders that paramilitary forces have already been deployed at Talwandi Sabo and Patiala for polling.
