Making a scathing attack on the Aam Admi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday claimed that the party got foreign funding.  Former Mumbai Police commissioner and BJP MP of Lok Sabha Satyapal Singh, who is also member of security committee of Parliament said, “The intelligence agencies and the Government of India must get the matter investigated.”

“Some reports are coming in which suggest that the funding is coming from those sources which can be really harmful for our country,” Singh added. He also condemned AAP lawmaker Bhagwant Mann’s visual expose on Parliament security arrangements and demanded strict action against him. “It seems as if he is making fun of the Parliament’s security arrangements have been violated is extremely condemnable,” the former top cop said.

The Lok Sabha secretariat has sought a report on the security implications of AAP MP Bhagwant Mann’s 11 minute-odd post that sparked a controversy on Thursday.  The video shot by a camera phone showed him travelling past security barriers at Parliament as well as the gate used by vehicles belonging to MPs.

Lawmakers on both sides of the house referred to the 2001 terror attack in Parliament as they demanded that the AAP MP from Punjab a stand- up comedian, be penalized for streaming on social media.
