In a bid to launch the signature campaign against the government, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is all set to make it a grand success. The party is making a team of minimum 10 party workers in every booth in the national capital. There are around 11,300 booths in 70 constituencies in Delhi.
With this, the party is looking to reach out to maximum number of voters in Delhi as AAP believes that their demand will not be met within one week to hold fresh elections in Delhi.
AAP is looking to make a team of 1 lakh volunteers who will cover these 11,300 booths in Delhi.
‘In 24 constituencies we have completed this work, while in other 25 constituencies around 90% has been completed, while in other seats 30-40% has been completed which will be done soon,’ said Sanjay Singh, senior AAP leader.
‘We want to reach out and convey our message to the voters that how the BJP and Congress have been cheating Delhi and its people. We will expose them via our signature campaign. Earlier, we have done a similar campaigning which was very successful,’ said Singh.
AAP earlier announced ‘Mission Vistar’ to expand base of the party across India.
Earlier, on Sunday at Jantar Mantar, former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal served a one-week ultimatum to Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and the Central government asking them to dissolve Delhi assembly and hold fresh polls.
He said if the demand was not met within a week, AAP will launch a door-to-door signature campaign against the government.
