AAP begins missed call campaign against corruption

Update: 2014-08-22 23:46 GMT
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday launched a missed call campaign to invite people to support its fight against corruption.

AAP leaders said that the harassment of whistleblower Sanjiv Chaturvedi by the Narendra Modi government has shown that change of regime at the Centre does not augur well for those fighting against corruption.

‘Three recent incidents – shunting out of Chaturvedi from the post of chief vigilance officer of AIIMS, centre’s notification to curtail the powers of the Delhi Anti Corruption Branch and the union petroleum ministry’s stand on ONGC’s fight against the Reliance in the Delhi High Court, show that the BJP-led NDA government is willing to compromise with corruption,’ said Manish Sisodia senior AAP leader.

The party has asked people to give a missed call on the number - 08088331113, to support its anti-corruption movement.

Modi government is exactly doing the opposite of what he promised during his election campaign, said AAP in its press statement.
