Addressing a press conference, senior party leader Sanjay Singh said the union law minister had violated the election code of conduct.

‘Sibal has been distributing water purifiers in the area with a tag line ‘Aap Ka Sibal’ with his photo and Congress symbol on it. We will approach the Election Commission over the issue. He is trying to mislead the voters,’ Singh said. He said that the party will soon approach the Election Commission and bring it to their notice.

Kapil Sibal is a two-time MP from the Chandni Chowk. AAP has fielded journalist-turned politician Ashutosh from the constituency and he has already started campaigning.

Singh also alleged that Madhya PCC President Arun Yadav was caught distributing money and the party will also approach the poll body against him.

Yadav, also represents Khandwa constituency in the state and AAP has fielded veteran Narmada Bachao Andolan leader Alok Agarwal from the constituency.

A press conference called by Aam Aadmi Party leaders after television channels aired Arvind Kejriwal’s remarks on Friday saw AAP leaders and journalists enter into heated arguments.

The AAP leaders put a strong defence of their leader Kejriwal’s remarks in Nagpur last night that the whole media was sold and heavy payments have been made to project Modi for Prime Ministership. He had also threatened to put the media in jail after an inquiry if AAP comes to power.
