Italian filmmaker Alessandro D’Alatri has rolled out a story about young love and small-town life in the form of his latest flick Sul Mare (On the Sea).
Shot in the settings of a warm and gentle island, the movie offers a lot more than just depthless teen romance.
A ‘country boy’ falls in love with a ‘city girl’ who reciprocates his love and a sweet love story is in the making until the guy thinks that his lady love has jilted him.
The love story is at times effective and most of the times simple yet sweet. The soft romance offers amusement until it graduates towards a discordant end which is both soft and tragic.
The lead actor, Dario Castillo, plays the part of a guy with a broken heart pretty well, considering the fact that this is his debut flick.
Martina Cidecasa, who plays the love interest of Dario, looks pretty in her role. Go for this one.
