The three-day exhibition brings together weavers from all corners of the country. Weavers from Odisha, West Bengal, Assam and Banaras and other states will be displaying their creations at this event. The exhibition focuses on novel techniques and new ideas re-inventing the traditional weaves and prints.
‘This year we will exhibit the work of 20 participants bringing numerous types of sarees. The range of textiles includes chanderi, chikankari, linen, khadi, South Indian weaves, prints, kantha, bandhani, ikat, tussar prints, laharia and more,’ said Purnima Rai, president, Delhi Crafts Council.
The artistes have brought their specialities and personal touches to their work through interesting textures, bright and bold hues.
