A K Dutta takes over as AAI Member (ANS)

A K <g data-gr-id="21">Dutta,</g> took over charge as Member (Air Navigation Services) on the Board of Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Thursday.  Prior to his appointment as Member (ANS), he has served in Airports Authority of India in various capacities, as Executive Director (Air Traffic Management), General Manager (Air Traffic Services), Senior Instructor in the Civil Aviation Training College (CATC), Air Traffic Controller in International ATC Centres and Aerodrome Incharge at major airports. 

In the span of three decades after being selected by UPSC as Aerodrome officer in 1985, he has gained wide experience in the field of Air Navigation Services, Airport operations and management. He has been mainly responsible for implementation Programme of Air Traffic Flow Management, Management of Air Traffic Services, development of Aeronautical Survey and 
Cartography Cell. 

He played a key role in the formation of the informal group of Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean (BOBASIO) States to ensure harmonisation among <g data-gr-id="19"><g data-gr-id="16">Asia Pacific</g> States</g>. He was responsible for the establishment of Research and Development wing of Air Navigation Services. One of his main contributions has been in the formulation of Air Navigation Strategic Plan 2020 for  India.
