A day after engineer’s death, wife and daughter found murdered in Noida flat
A day after the tragic death of Nitin Rohilla, an engineer working with Yamaha Motors, who was charred to death after his car caught fire on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway on Saturday evening, his wife and daughter were found dead in their house in Noida on Sunday. Police recovered
their bodies from their residence in Sector 120, Noida.
According to the police on Sunday morning local residents at the Prateek Laurel Apartments in Sector 120 complained of foul smell coming from Rohilla’s flat situated on the fourth floor. A PCR call was made and the police team rushed to the spot. The police broke open the door and found Rohilla’s wife, Parul’s (29) body on the chair in the drawing room while his daughter Ayushi (4) was found lying near the kitchen.
‘The flat was locked since 16 July. The police team was informed and the team opened the lock. The bodies appeared to be three days old. Postmortem will reveal the details,’ said a senior Noida police official.
According to police sources, Rohilla might have killed the duo as also mystery shrouds the fire that broke out in his WagonR car. The police said his wife and daughter were killed almost four days back since the bodies had already started decomposing. Blood stains were found all over the place. Circumstantial evidence was lifted from the spot and sent for further examination.
Meanwhile, the police further stated that Rohilla had gone to his office last on 16 July. The next day, he sent a text message to his boss stating that he was unwell and would not be unable to attend office. Parul’s brother, Neeraj, claimed that on Saturday evening Rohilla called him and said that they had a fight and sounded very depressed and frustrated.
‘We are examining the CCTV footages in the building to check Rohilla’s movement. A case under appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Sector- 58 police station,’ said a police official.
