8-lane Bhalswa flyover to be thrown open today

The eight-lane Bhalswa Flyover, built at a cost of Rs 47 crore, will be thrown open to the people of the national Capital on Saturday by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The flyover, part of the 20 km-long Vikaspuri-Wazirabad signal-free elevated corridor, is aimed at easing traffic on Outer Ring Road. The construction work of the project was started by the Public Works Department (PWD) in November, 2013 which is executing the works of signal-free corridor. “Eight-lane flyover will be thrown open for public by the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday. PWD Minister Satyendar Jain will apprise people of benefits about the project. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia will also be present at the event,” said a senior government official. Another official said PWD has saved money in the project.
