Sixty new swine flu cases have been reported in Delhi on Sunday, which took the number to 420 cases. No deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
Charan Singh, the state surveillance officer for swine flu in Delhi, said: ‘Health minister AK Walia has been trying his best to keep a check on the situation and improve the reporting system as well in Delhi’s hospitals.’
Walia has urged people to maintain high standards of personal hygiene to prevent the spread of the disease. Awareness campaigns are also being organised by the government to forewarn the public.
