On Tuesday a six-year-old student died under mysterious circumstances when he collapsed in the school premises. He was taken to a nearby nursing home and was further rushed to a private hospital where he was declared dead. According to police, the incident took place in Mount Litera Zee school in east Delhi’s Preet Vihar. The deceased identified as Chetaniya Sharma, went to the playground after having his lunch. He reportedly collapsed and fell on the ground. His friends noticed him lying on the ground, who then further informed the school staff. The police official said that they have sent the body for the post-mortem examination and the reports are awaited. Meanwhile, family of the deceased has claimed negligence by the school and the nursing home. On the basis of the statement recorded by the family members a complaint has been received. ‘Further investigation is underway,’ the official added.
