In a shocking incident, a 6-year-old child has been sexually assaulted allegedly by three assailants who resided in the Yog Ashram in the IP Estate area of Central Delhi. The cops have arrested one accused while two are still at large.

The incident came to light when the six-year-old was seen crying on January 14 by one of the residents of the Ashram. When he inquired the reason, the child told him that he has been sexually assaulted by three men in the Ashram.

The child reportedly said that he had been lured by a toffee inside the room in the Ashram by one of the assailants where another man was waiting. The man then showed some pornographic photographs to the child before committing the sexual assault. After the assault, the child was threatened to be killed if he revealed the act to anyone. Moreover, the child has told the complainant that the three sexually assaulted him earlier as well.

The swami of the Ashram had gone out at the time of the incident. He was contacted on phone and when he came back, he was briefed about the shocking incident. Meanwhile, the next day an NGO was also informed and when the NGO reached the Ashram, they were allegedly confronted by the assaulters. The police were called and the child was taken for a medical check up.

“We have registered a case under POCSO and arrested one accused. We are investigating the case,” said DCP Central R S Randhawa.

The cops are now looking for the remaining two accused who are still at large.
