Five persons were killed and two others injured when a dilapidated house collapsed and brought down some other adjoining ramshackle residential units here on Tuesday.
Bodies of the victims – two labourers from Uttar Pradesh, a two-year-old child and two women – were recovered from under the debris, police and fire officials said. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.
The house located on a godown collapsed first and four others adjacent to the building, inhabited mostly by labourers, crumbled under its impact, the officials said.
