A 45-year-old woman was found murdered with her throat slit at her residence in Sector 41 on Monday evening. Police said that the body of one, Rakhi Gupta, was found inside her flat.
Rakhi was married to Sanjay Gupta, a consultant in real estate Company in Noida. The incident came into light at 3:30 pm, when her servant’s children reached home to study but found her lying in a pool of blood.
They informed of the incident to the landlord, who called her husband and the police. Police have sent the body for post-mortem. Police said that Rakhi used to teach underprivileged children.
“On Monday morning, Rakhi’s husband had gone to office, while her daughter went to the institute, where she is pursuing a fashion designing course. She was alone in the house, when the incident happened,” said a cop. Police said that the accused stabbed her several times and slit her throat.
“As Rakhi’s husband had hired two persons for taking care of their paralysed son, we suspect their involvement. We have registered a case at Sector 39 police station and are investigating the matter. As both suspected persons have been absconding after the incident, we have laid a trap to apprehend them,” said a senior police official investigating the matter.
