Three unidentified bike-borne assailants on Wednesday night shot and injured a property dealer after over-taking his car at the Dankaour-Sikandarabad road.
The police said that the victim, Ravi Nagar is a resident of the Junaidpur village in Dankaour and runs a property dealing office in Alpha-I sector, Greater Noida.
The incident took place at 9 pm when he left office for home. The Police further said that he was on his way along Kasana-Bilashpur via the Kherali canal, when the three masked criminals started chasing his car on a bike. Ravi said to the police that he tried driving faster, but the criminals overtook him near the petrol pump on the Dankaour-Sikandarabad road and open fired at his car.
He was shot and injured by the bullets. The criminals however, escaped, believing him dead. He was rushed into a private hospital in Greater Noida, where the doctors kept him in the ICU. The police said the victim has been hit by two bullets – one in the leg, the other, in the stomach.
