28-year-old Delhi man found dead in Haryana’s Bahadurgarh

Varun Jagda, who was the vice-president of Indian National Lok Dal party in Najafgarh unit was kidnapped at about 6.30 pm on Monday from his office in Sainik Farm. Thereafter a case was also registered under the sections of kidnapping.

‘He was a property dealer by profession and had earlier contested councilor elections on Samajwadi Party ticket from the area,’ a police officer close to investigation said. During investigation, a team of Najafgarh police got the information that a bullet-ridden body was found in an agricultural field in Bahadurgarh’s Laua village. When the team reached the spot, they identified the body as that of Jagda.

‘Four bullet injuries mark were found on his body and the body has been sent for the post-mortem examination. Investigation is on to identify the accused. The call records are being looked at and the family members along with his close friends are being intensively quizzed,’ the officer added. A case of abduction and murder has been lodged.
