25 Taliban fighters killed in Afghanistan

At least 25 Taliban fighters have been killed in Afghanistan’s Helmand province in police operations that lasted 17 hours, police said on Monday. ‘The operations which were launched on Sunday evening in Nawzad district and concluded after 17 hours on Monday afternoon left 25 Taliban rebels dead,’ Xinhua reported, quoting Ghulam Sakhi Ghafori, a police officer from Nawzad, some 555 km from Kabul. Several Taliban fighters were injured, while only one police constable got hurt during the operations.
