24-year-old jumps out of moving car, foils rape attempt by acquaintances
A 24-year-old braveheart managed to foil a rape attempt, jumping out of a moving car in which she was dragged in by two acquaintances as she was on her way home, said police on Friday. The accused have been arrested.
The incident was reported from west Delhi's Aman Vihar area around 10.45pm on Thursday night. The woman, a resident of Prem Nagar area in Aman Vihar, was walking towards her home when she was kidnapped by the two accused - Kuldeep, 24, and Deepak, 19.
The accused also tried to run over the victim, but she managed to save her life, added the officer. In the meantime, some people gathered there and the accused fled from the spot.
The woman, who works as an accountant in a private firm in Delhi's Karol Bagh, was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital where her condition is stated to be out of danger.
