230 students get Indira Awards

Delhi government’s education department on Wednesday distributed awards to 230 students, 35 teachers and 38 head of the schools in 16th Indira Awards Ceremony, which was organised by the Directorate of Education at Thyagraj Indoor Stadium.

Speaking on the occasion, principal secretary (education) Anindo Majumdar said that apart from providing education to students the school authorities should give top priority to the security and safety of the students as it is a big responsibility of the education department.

Majumdar further said these awards were given to enthuse a spirit of cooperation and excellence among the schools, teachers and students.

The parents and guardians of the students send their siblings to the schools as they are confident and have full faith in government. In such case, school administration should take all necessary action to prevent any untoward incident. Last but not least in the all monetary beneficial schemes meant for the welfare of students, the money should reach to the needy student at the earliest.
