Mystery shrouds the death of a 22-year-old girl who was found lying in a pool of blood below a tower of Lotus Boulevard society in Noida’s Sector 100 on Friday morning. Police said that the girl, who had came from Delhi to the Noida apartment to celebrate her birthday with four male friends including her boyfriend, was found clothless which suggest the girl was raped and killed by the friends. However, police also said that they will investigate the matter from other angles too.
Notably, the incident is the fourth major incident reported from the residential society in which five people have lost their lives. A Delhi Police’s ACP, his wife, an Amity student and a 24-year-old youth have died in the last couple of months. The deceased was a former student of a Noida’s well-known university and was currently working with an MNC in Delhi. She was from Punjab and was living in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash.
Police said that the incident was reported at around 5 am when the society staff informed that the girl had jumped from a flat in the eighth floor of tower number eight.
The girl, who was reportedly found in an inebriated condition with multiple fractures in her body, was admitted to Yatharth Hospital where she succumbed later.
“The girl was admitted in a critical condition following which she succumbed. Her family has been informed and further investigation is on to establish the case,” said a police official investigating the case.
On further explaining the details, the police official said that the deceased had recently completed her studies and had joined a job in a multi-national company. There were total five people inside the flat. It was her birthday, so they were celebrating her birthday in the flat.
“We have detained her friends and have been questioning them. Though they have said that she fell off accidently as she was drunk but it is just a part of the investigation and other angles — rape and murder — are being investigated. We have sent the body for autopsy. Exact cause of her death and whether she had consumed liquor or not will be unearthed after obtaining the report,” he further said.
Earlier on October 17, Rama R Sandesh, a student of Amity University was killed in his apartment in the society.

Upset over his death, his wife allegedly committed suicide minutes later by jumping off the balcony of their fourth floor residence.
On December 5, a society staff Raju allegedly killed himself by hanging himself from the ceiling fan.
