Indian Coast Guard on Sunday said it had apprehended 22 Sri Lankan fishermen for allegedly fishing in Indian waters. A total of four boats along with 22 crew were apprehended in ‘sea-air co-ordinated operation’ on November 23 and 24 off Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. ‘The four Sri Lankan fishing boats are being escorted to Chennai for handing over to police,’ a Coast Guard release said.
