Barely three days after a four-year old girl was injured by chain snatchers in the Kaushambi area of Ghaziabad, on Wednesday, a two-year-old girl was held hostage at gunpoint during an incident of loot from a couple in Greater Noida.

The father and daughter were brutally beaten by the looters, while attempting to resist the robbery. Adding to the gravity of the incident, the local police reached the spot almost one hour late after intimation, even though the loot took place at one of the busiest locations of the area.

The incident was reported around 6 am. Manoj and Sarika Bansal, residents of Omega sector, were going towards Pari Chowk with their daughter on a two-wheeler. Upon reaching the WHO society, two men on a motor bike hit the victims’ vehicle, the impact leading to the girl being thrown off across five metres from the accident spot, leading to multiple injuries on her body. One of the attackers took the girl hostage, keeping her at gunpoint, while the other attacker thrashed Manoj with the pistol.
