The incident took place on Wednesday at around 8 pm when two Niegerian managed a friendly entry into victim’s (Mohammad Shahid Hussain) office and allegedly attacked him.
Both of them were reportedly carrying butcher knives. Hearing his screams, the locals reached his office and found him lying in a pool of blood. One of the locals, made a call to the police. The victim was immediately rushed to AIIMS trauma centre.
Sources have informed that Hussain had, in the past caught the duo Nigerians while committing a
robbery.
It is belived that the duo attacked him to take revenge. Prem Nath, deputy commissioner of police (South) said, ‘It is too early to say anything. Investigation is on to nab the culprits.’
After the incident, the angry locals, carried out demonstration in the area demanding that the colony should be Nigerian free.
AAP MLA from Malviya Somnath Bharti also reached the spot and joined the locals.
‘We have deployed heavy police force in the area to maintain law and order situation,’ the DCP added. Recently, on 9 September, a gang-war took place between two Nigerian groups in Khirki Extension of Malviya Nagar area, leaving one person severely injured.
