Two persons have been arrested for allegedly being involved in an extortion case.
One Ashok Kumar of Uttam Nagar lodged a complaint on June 23, alleging that jewellery and some important documents were stolen from the house while they had gone to work.
The next day, the couple allegedly received a ransom call of Rs 2 lakh. Police said the caller informed the complainant that he had the documents and asked him to arrange for Rs 2 lakh.
