A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped by three persons in the New Usmanpur area of north-east Delhi on Friday. According to police, one person has been arrested and identified as Vijay alias Bitto (25). Police said, the incident took place on 17 May.
According to the police, the girl who lives in the Jagjit Nagar area of Usamanpur, on the night of 17 May, went out to look for her brother at approximately 8.30pm.
The accused and his brother, along with another friend kidnapped her and took her to an isolated place, where they forced her to consume some intoxicated substance and raped her.
After raping her, they dumped the victim near her house at approximately 11.30om. The next day, the girl narrated the story to her parents and they registered an FIR against the accused.
After a medical examination confirmed rape, a case was registered under sec tion 376(G) and 328 of the Indian Penal Code. One of the accused has been arrested and another has been sent to the juvenile home.
