In a gruesome revenge killing, a 15-year-old girl abducted and murdered a two-year-old girl, stuffed her into a plastic bag before dumping the body in Sanjay Lake in East Delhi. Delhi police on Wednesday apprehended the accused who is a class XI student.
The incident took place on June 10 when the girl was playing outside her residence in Kalyanpuri area. When her family noticed that she was missing a case of kidnapping was lodged at Kalyanpuri police station.
The body was fished out from the lake on June 13. A special task force under the Operation Cell of East District along with a team of Kalyanpuri police station was formed to conduct the probe and accused was apprehended on Wednesday.
“Salma (name changed) abducted the victim and took her to home, where she strangled her, stuffed her body into a plastic bag and hired an auto-rickshaw to Sanjay Lake where she threw the body,” Ajay Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) said.
On interrogation, she confessed to the crime and told police that on June 5, victim’s mother had quarreled with her and insulted her in front of all the neighbours.
“She wanted to take revenge from her that is why she hatched a conspiracy to eliminate the two-year-old girl,” a police official said quoting accused’s confession.
