Another 10 orange-coloured Delhi Transit buses will ply on city roads, starting from Thursday, with operationalisation of route number 433. With this, the total number of the Delhi Transit Buses on Delhi roads will become 448, and in cluster 2, 128.
Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System Ltd (DIMTS) will monitor the operation of these buses on the behalf of Delhi government. The buses on route number 433 will start from Badarpur border and travel via Prahaladpur, Surajkund crossing, ESI hospital, Okhla Phase 1, Govindpuri Metro station, Kalkaji Mandir, Srinivaspuri depot, Lajpat Nagar, Andrews Ganj, AIIMS hospital, Safdarjung airport, Tughlaq Road police station, Udyog Bhawan, Krishi Bhawan, Akashvani Bhawan, Connaught Place and New Delhi railway station.
The buses on these routes will also provide connectivity with the Govindpuri Metro station and Moolchand on Violet Line and INA market, Jorbagh, Race Course, Udyog Bhawan, Krishi Bhawan, Rajiv Chowk and New Delhi railway station on Yellow Line.
The buses under cluster 2 are semi-low floor and equipped with GPS, internal audio-visual announcement of approaching bus stops and electronic ticketing machines. Like in all Delhi Transit buses, the route and destination of each bus will be displayed externally on three electronic boards on the front, rear and on the left hand side of the bus respectively.
They will be parked at Kushaknala depot, which has a capacity for 232 buses.
