The government on Wednesday slapped anti-dumping duty on import of tiles from China to protect the domestic industry. Anti-dumping duty of $1.37 per square meter was imposed on import of glazed/unglazed porcelain/vitrified tiles in polished or unpolished finish with less than 3 per cent water absorption for a period of six months, CBEC said in a notification.
