Anurag called Sushant 'too problematic'

Anurag Kashyap addressed Rhea Chakraborty's arrest in Sushant Singh Rajput case in a new set of tweets, as he also opened up on his relationship with the late actor. He shared his chats with the late actor's manager and explained that he had refused to work with Sushant for his 'own reasons'.

"I am sorry that I am doing this, but this chat is from three weeks before Sushant passed away. It is a series of chats with his manager on May 22, 2020. I have not done it so far, but now I feel the need now to

do it. Yes, I did not want to work with him for my own reasons," he wrote with the screenshots.

The chat has Sushant's manager requesting him to cast the actor in his next film.

"I know you do not like people pitching actors. I feel that I can take that chance with you. Please keep Sushant Singh Rajput in mind if you feel that he fits in anywhere with you. As an audience, okay I would love to see you two create something great," the text said.

To this, Anurag had replied, "He is too problematic man. I have known him from before he started out

and got him his film 'Kai Po Che'."

He also shared his conversation with the manager from June 14 when Sushant died.

About not casting Sushant, Kashyap explained, "I never shared and never asked myself what happened. Yeah, I walked away because Mukesh told me that Sushant wanted to do my film, but then Sushant ghosted me and I shelved the film."

"We were always honest. That was why I was upset. And I know that Mukesh had something to do with it. So l just stayed away from the two. I just feel that maybe I should have talked to him once instead of holding on to that grudge. I just feel so bad," concluded Anurag.
