Youth confesses to killing paramour

A youth surrendered before the police after killing the woman with whom he had an affair. The murder took place in South 24-Parganas, a few days ago. Police said,  Sajal Debnath, allegedly murdered his girlfriend by strangulating her with a rope. 

On Friday, the youth reached the police station and confessed his crime to the police. “He has confessed the crime and we have arrested him,” said an investigating officer. Police said, a married woman had eloped with Sajal and took a rented resident at Baruipur’s Khurigachi area. They informed the locals that, they were married and lived there for last 6 month.

The locals however, started to doubt their relationship. “We were perplexed by the woman’s behaviour. Sajal’s behaviour was also dubious. But we could not do anything, because, it was their internal matter,” said a neighbour.

However, the locals found the body of the woman a few days ago and reported it to police. The accused youth had earlier denied his role to police.
