With India at its heart

Creating a platform for budding artists, Chawla Art Gallery announces a Group Show, Petite Pretty-Works within 3x3 feet. With a conscious effort to not restrict the creativity of the participating artists with any particular theme, the gallery provides them the freedom to splash up their creativity upon their canvas, liberally.

These pieces of art are strongly representative of the world of Indian art, and do not borrow any influences from any foreign culture. The show is a statement of the evolving taste in Indian Art. The participating artists include Abhinav Chowbey, Arijoy Bhattacharya, Asit Kumar Patnaik, Bharat Bhushan Singh, Chintan Upadhyay, Maya Burman, Ramesh Gorjala, Satish Gujral, Shipra Bhattacharya, Suhas Roy, amongst others.

The appeal and scope of today’s art and its gestures are universal. Art is, but, an expressions of human imagination. The show is a platform for up and coming artists and also an opportunity for the viewer to view works of masters.
Unlike fashion, art does not get outdated and we find a lot of artists continuing their previous styles. The show is an opportunity for a viewer to select from paintings, sculptures and photography. There is a mix of figurative and abstract and some works with a surreal feel, and the other’s inspired by tribal and folk art. Displaying works of quality with lasting value has always been the effort of the gallery to retain the great amount of good will it has from the community of art lovers.

So, head over and experience these expressions of art on your own.
