Will go all out to beat Australia: Kohli

India’s batting spearhead Virat Kohli on Wednesday said that the defending champions will go all out to beat the World Cup co-hosts Australia in Thursday’s semi-final.

“We are going to go all out and there is no doubt about that. We are not going to leave anything in the tank in these games,” Kohli was quoted as saying by bcci.tv.

“It is certainly going to be an occasion that I would always remember all my life. It has been just a wonderful journey so far and only the icing on the cake is left,” he said.

The Indian vice-captain insisted Australia, the four-time world champions, would be under greater
pressure when they walk out to the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Thursday.

“Australia in Australia at the SCG with a full house in a semi-final clash - they are under massive pressure to win this World Cup,” Kohli said.

“We have nothing to lose if you see the situation and the opposition. People are expecting them to win and they know that as well.”

The 26-year-old was also of the view that the clash between two powerhouses would be exciting.
