WB BJP accuses Babul of ‘jhalmuri diplomacy’
Criticising Babul Supriyo’s attempts at bonhomie with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit on Sunday said that the Union Minister’s “<g data-gr-id="15">jhalmuri</g> <g data-gr-id="16">diploamcy</g>” will not work when party workers are being attacked everyday by the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
“The Centre-State relation is a different issue in a democracy. But it doesn’t absolve TMC of the terror that they have unleashed on our BJP workers throughout the state. Our ideology and TMC’s ideology are different and there can be no compromise with them,” BJP national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh said.
“The <g data-gr-id="12">jhalmuri</g> diplomacy will not work in Bengal. And the E=MC2 stands for E=energy, M=murder and C=corruption,” said Singh, who is also the BJP state in charge.
