Waiter stabbed several times for refusing to buy beer for goons

Two unidentified goons allegedly stabbed a waiter more than 15 times when he refused to give them money to buy alcohol near the Inderlok Metro station on late Thursday night.

According to police, the waiter identified as Deepak, is stated to be critical.

Sources said that the incident took place around 10pm near the Inderlok metro station when Deepak was allegedly having drinks with his friend outside a wine shop near the metro station.

Two bike-borne men allegedly approached them and asked them to buy beer for them. To which, Deepak refused. Infuriated, the duo allegedly started thrashing Deepak and his friend.

One of the accused then attacked Deepak with a sharp object after which both the accused fled from the spot.

Sources said that for 10 minutes, the two persons kept on stabbing Deepak.

More than 30 people passed by when the crime was taking place but no one came forward to help Deepak and his friend. A local person later informed the police after which Deepak and his friend were rushed to a nearby hospital where Deepak is undergoing treatment for deep injuries on his stomach, abdomen and neck.

The police meanwhile said that they have registered a case of attempt to murder and investigation is underway.
