Continuing with its demand fort he resignation of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, The Congress on Tuesday said it is is important for a neutral probe into the Vyapam scam.The party said that Chouhan was trying to “mislead” people by requesting the high court for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the scam.(READ: Vyapam: under-fire Madhya Prades Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan orders CBI probe ) “It is an effort to mislead people. We still remain firm on our demand for a Supreme Court-monitored probe,” Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia told the media here.”If we want a neutral probe, then the chief minister should resign,” he added.
Money laundering probe in Vyapam on track: ED Director
The Enforcement Directorate’s money laundering probe into the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh is “on track”, the agency’s chief said on Tuesday. “The <g data-gr-id="38">probe in this case</g> is on track. We have made some attachments earlier (against the accused under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act),” ED Director Rajan Katoch told reporters here.
