Universal art

Work by over 40 artiste are on display at the ongoing exhibition at Aakriti art Gallery.  The show titled Affordable Art displays paintings and sculptures. The show hopes to bring art into lives of people who harbour passion and love for art. 

The participating artistes are - Akbar Padamsee, Amitabha Banerjee, Chandra Bhattacharya, Chhatrapati Dutta, DebasisBarui, Jayashree Chakravarty, Krishna Sardar, M.F. Husain, ParthaPratim Deb, Paula Sengupta, P R Narvekar, SanatKar, Sankha Banerjee, SomnathHore, Swapan Kumar Saha among others.

"Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind. “The seductive and vibrant colours of a painting demand your attention; it takes you to the artist’s world which is a chaotic universe, yet is calming nevertheless. Art is what beholds in the eyes of onlooker, which might seem as an endless road to some, the start of a journey to another or an endless road. The pursuit of owning great works of art should not be limited. The pleasure of living with, and savouring great works of art, is incomparable to merely looking at them in galleries.
The gallery have constantly thrived to make art more accessible to all. The exhibition Affordable Art hopes to achieve this goal. It would feature works by over a forty artistes. Paintings, sculptures and prints would be put on exhibition. The artworks would be priced between Rs 3,000 to 4,50,000. The exhibition would feature works by renowned artists as well as by fresh talents.
