Two persons dead in separate suicide cases

Two persons including a woman committed suicide in two different places in the city on Saturday.

Police said 26-year-old Subho Kalyani Prasad committed suicide by jumping from the top floor of a private hospital off EM Bypass. She was a resident of Liluah in Howrah and had been admitted to the hospital for a kidney ailment.

On Saturday morning, security personnel heard a loud sound and rushed to the spot to find her lying in a pool of blood. She was declared brought dead when taken to the emergency department of the hospital.

In another incident the body of an elderly person was found from the courtyard of his house at Ballygunge. Police suspect after preliminary investigation, that he had committed suicide as he was suffering from age related problem.
