Three labourers run over at railway crossing

Three labourers were run over by a train near the Sarita Vihar railway crossing on Wednesday morning in which two men and one woman succumbed to injuries. According to the railway officials, the victims have been identified as Sarojini Devi (35), Shiv Chand (45) and an unidentified man. The three were crossing the railway crossing near Sarita Vihar at around 9.45 am on Wednesday. They were waiting for one train to cross and without paying attention to another train coming from the other side, they started walking and were crushed to death. All of them were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead. According to the police, there is no foul play and it is a case of accident. Police have registered a case under the relevant Sections of the IPC at the Sarita Vihar railway police station and have started a probe.
